ROAD ACCIDENT FUND

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is a fund that has been established in terms of an Act of Parliament. The RAF has been set up as an insurance fund to provide monetary compensation to people injured in motor vehicle accidents for which they are not to blame. It could be regarded as a compulsory insurance policy for road accident injuries because a contribution towards the RAF is included in the fuel price.

Claims made against the Road Accident Fund may also be referred to as third party claims. If you or a loved one has been involved in a motor vehicle accident, let us evaluate whether you may be eligible to a claim against the Road Accident Fund.

At Sylvia Venter Attorneys we value the role of the Road Accident Fund as an important social security net and do not wish to abuse or misuse the RAF. We assist our clients who suffered in a motor vehicle accident due to the negligence of a third party.
